Decade in Review | 2017 of 2019
As I was going through my photos from 2017, I realized that this was the year when I put in some more effort in photographing landscapes. I woke up earlier to photograph sunrises and I drove further to areas I normally would not have visited. I would like to get back to doing more of these kinds of trips in the future again.
January 2017
I went for a walk around my neighborhood in the falling snow and saw this interesting battle between lights of different color temperatures.
February 2017
Helped photograph my cousin’s engagement to my friend! That was exciting.
March 2017
First time back in Shanghai in a few years and took my now fiancee to visit for the first time. This skyline has changed so much over the years.
April 2017
I finally was able to convince a group of people to go photograph the tulip fields during the sunrise. I decided to snap this photo of an Instagram influencer while she was bossing around her photographer boyfriend.
May 2017
Another sunrise, this time at Jonsrud Viewpoint out in Sandy, OR. I love this view overlooking the Sandy River.
July 2017
I’ve started to get more involved with the internal photography at the architecture firm I work at. An important aspect of our work is the process in how we get to the final design of a project.
July 2017
Still one of my favorite outings. This sunrise was amazing and the scenery was breathtaking. This experience alone is reason enough for me to never turn down a sunrise trip.
August 2017
Fishing trip up in Alaska for my cousin’s bachelor party. Scenic, chill, fresh fish, and good company.
September 2017
Senior photos for the youngest cousin of our family! It was a fun day hopping around Portland and finding places to photograph.
October 2017
When I heard the Boardman Tree Farm was going to be no longer a tree farm, I put it on my list to head out there in the fall and photograph the foliage. It did not disappoint.
November 2017
First time in Las Vegas. I went for a work trip and it was alright. It’s such a weird city.
December 2017
Seeing the Vancouver Waterfront project coming out of the ground was pretty cool to witness. This is one of the most significant projects for Vancouver, WA in the 21st century and it’s nice to say that I was involved with it.
